James John Rose Sr.

James John Rose Sr, 79, of Orient, passed away peacefully at his home September 3, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Margaret (Gilley) Rose, sisters, Teresa Palmer and Margie (Gene) White, children, Kent (Liz) Morris, Tami (Brent) Baumgardner, Charles (Teresa) Morris, Angela Rose, Kathleen (Marty) Mink, Amber (deceased, Ronnie) Allen, James Jr. (Jessica) Rose, Michael (Jackie) Rose, Chad (Jennifer) Rose and Markena Rose, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and special friend, Kim Bucy. He was born June 17, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio, the only son after eight daughters to Joseph and Cora (Troiano) Rose. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and long time employee of Dryden, Scioto Darby, and Northeast Concrete, where he retired. Jim Rose was a faithful provider for his family who worked tirelessly on the jobsite. He also spent many hours maintaining his flower beds and tinkering in his workshop which brought him great joy. Friends may call Friday, September 7, 2018, from 2pm- 5pm, followed by a 5pm funeral service at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with Crematory, 2693 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. The family kindly request donations in lieu of flowers to assist with funeral expenses, donations can be made at www.jerryspearsfuneralhome.com
