Earl F Loar

Earl F. Loar, age 78, passed away at OSU Medical Center on Friday, September 28, 2018.  He is preceded in death by Archie David Loar and Marguerite Mae Stout, Sister Janet Loar Jones, Brother James R. Loar.  He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Ann) Loar, two daughters Annette (Tim) Reeb, Stephanie (Kirk) Jeffries, 2 Sister-in-laws (Carol Gregg and Barb Lescody) brother-in-law (Kenny Gregg), 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. Earl was raised in the Newark Children’s home; He retired from Frigidaire Company and Electronic Data System in 1998.  Earl was an extraordinary free-spirited soul with a love for music, yahoo mail, and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.  Earl’s greatest achievement in 1960 was being in the band called the Triumphs.  He later advanced into composing his own music of over hundred plus songs.  He was with the song writer’s poet-critic for many years.  There will be a gathering of friends and family on Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 2-4pm at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory, 2693 West Broad St.  In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help with medical/funeral expenses.
