Ronnie "Ron" Thompson

Ronnie “Ron” Thompson, age 73, a beloved husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his residence of acute myeloid leukemia. Retired after 35 years from PSB Company, a former subsidiary of White Castle. A 1961 graduate of New Albany High School, he excelled as an all-state athlete. He was a Veteran of the US Army’s 82nd Airborne. He was a member of the Sunbury Eagles for many years and a current and proud member of the Powell Gyros. Ron Loved golf, bowling, NASCAR, fishing and watching all sports. Preceded in death by mother, Estelle Thompson. Survived by wife of 37 years, Karen. Daughter: Alana (Whitney) Eversole. Sister: Marlene Irvine. Brother: Floyd (Sharon) Thompson. Sister-in-law: Betsy (Dave) Melaragno. Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends as well as much loved canine companion, Regis.
