Rose Smith Obituary

Rose Marie (Abbott) Smith, age 84, was reunited with loved ones June 16, 2022. Rose was born in Ohio, graduated from Grove City High School in 1955. She was a loving and devoted wife for over 61 years to Edgar M. Smith of WV, together they had six children. Rose was also a grandmother to 20 and a great grandmother to 24.

She is preceded in death by parents, Allen D. Abbott and Eleanor E. Julian; husband, Edgar M. Smith; children: James A. Smith, Steve Schaffer and Edgar K. Smith; stepdaughter, Adella J. Smith; grandson, Justin W. Smith; sister, Patricia Zamora of MI; brother, A. Durwood Abbott of OH.

She is survived by children: Kathy L. Smith-Libert, Michelle M. & Todd Wallingford, Rebecca A. Schaffer and Michael D. & Brenda Smith; daughters-in-law, Tina Smith and Mary Jane Smith; brother, Edward Abbott of MO and sister, Ronni John Lanning of CO.

A Celebration of Life will be held later for family and friends. Arrangements completed with JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
