Robert Howells Sr

Robert E. Howells Sr., age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Ashford of Grove City, surrounded by his loving family. Graduate of both Aquinas High School and The Ohio State University. Retired from Nationwide Insurance. He was a very active member at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Robert was an avid golfer and bowler. Preceded in death by, parents, Thomas and Gertrude Howells, brother, Thomas Howells, sister, Janice Howells. Survived by, wife, Ruth, children, Robert (Shelley) Howells Jr., Michael Howells and Julie (Joe) Blankenship, grandchildren, James, Katelyn and Alex. brothers, Jim (Maria) Howells, Dan Howells and Rick (Shelley) Howells, sister, Kathy (Rich) Warno, numerous other family and friends, special thanks to Capital City Hospice and the staff at Ashford of Grove City for their excellent care. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday, November 6, 2023 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, 10 AM Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 473 S. Roys Ave. Father Slawomir Siok, Celebrant. Inurnment St Joseph Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, in Robert's name.
