Robert Hamlin

Robert Hamlin (Bob), 56, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at his residence on February 6, 2020. Preceded in death by his fathe, Kenneth Hamlin and mother, Florence Hamlin as well as the love of his life and mother to his children, Carol Staten. Robert is survived by: daughter, Kayla Bennett; son, Mark Staten; beloved son in law, Taylor Bennett and daughter in law, Kelsy Staten; granddaughters: Maddison and Sophia; brothers: Kenneth Hamlin and Rodney Hamlin; sister, Terri Sopha and many close friends. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, brother and a friend to everyone. Robert loved football and NASCAR. His favorite team was the Ohio State Buckeyes and favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. He worked as a general contractor for 20+ years and worked on may projects in the Columbus area. He was accomplished in many areas and talented in his work. He worked hard and diligently at everything he did and enjoyed his work. If anyone ever needed advice about a project or to fix a car he was always there to help. He enjoyed movies, spending time with family and friends and working on his hobbies.
