Michael Paul Castle, age 77, surrounded by loving family members, went peacefully home to his Savior on November 1, 2024. Mike is preceded in death by, parents, Greenville Castle and Eileen (Don) Fields, loving grandparents, Mommy and Poppy, sister, Jodi, father and mother in law, Everett and Mary Lou Stanton. Survived by, loving wife of 56 years, Vicky, children, Michael (Crystal) Castle and Missy (Morgan) Wellman, grandchildren, Kaylee (Jim) Obney, Chase (Olivia) Castle, Colten (Taylor) Castle and Camryn Castle, great grandchildren, Cayson and Grayce Castle, siblings. Linda (Buddy) Purdue, Ricky Fields and Shelley (Bruce) Tresemer, numerous other family, church friends and other close friends that were like family. Mike was a dedicated police officer in Franklin Township for 35 years. He spent 26 of those years serving his community as chief. He cherished the friendships forged with fellow Franklin Township police officers and firefighters he served alongside. God was first, then family. Mike served as a deacon at Westside Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Mike has left an everlasting impact on his family, friends and community and his family finds comfort in knowing the legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he shared and the memories they will cherish forever. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and Fresenius Kidney Care healthcare workers who took great care of Mike. Friends may call at Westside Freewill Baptist Church, 3261 Fisher Rd., Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10 AM - 12 Noon where service will follow at 12 Noon.
