November 4, 1936 ~ January 31, 2024 (age 87) 87 Years Old
Margaret E. Hivnor crossed from this life with loved ones by her side on 31 January, 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Duane, and her parents, Verle and Etta Newlen.
Maggie is survived by her sons, Michael (Belinda) Hivnor, Stephen (Suzie) Hivnor, her sister Etta Imogene (Kenn, deceased) John, sister-in-law Barbara Jean (Ralph) Ishler, a grandson Mikey Hivnor, several nieces and nephews, numerous great and a few great-great nieces and nephews.
Margaret loved being a mom and was employed with Automobile Club Insurance Co. during her working career. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America, Daughters of the Nile, a sewing group, her beloved Clown group, plus others. Maggie often served as an officer in many of these organizations. She also served as a poll worker on Election Day.
When Maggie was having fun, it was chatting with loved ones, traveling, bowling, baking brownies and cookies, sewing or crocheting, and shopping! Many of her loved ones have her kitchen towels crocheted with a top and button loop, all wishing for extras now.
Visitation for our sweet Margaret is February 4th from 1 to 4 at Jerry Spears Funeral Home at 2963 W Broad, Columbus, Oh; with a graveside burial on February 5th at 1pm, at Sunset Cemetery.
