Marcia Rose Miano, age 53, of Columbus Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home September 8, 2021. By her side, Suzy Waud, life partner, best friend, and caregiver who dedicated her life for years with love, compassion, and strength. Marcia Rose valiantly fought a nearly 25 year battle against Chronic Lyme Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. She is the daughter of Paul L. Miano Sr. and Laura J. Miano (Bellevue).
Marcia Rose was born May 9, 1968 in Bellevue, Ohio. A 1986 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School. She attended The University of Akron and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications in 1990 and was very active in the College Radio Station. Marcia was extremely creative and started working professionally in the Broadcast Industry at WNRR-FM 92.1 in Bellevue Ohio, later relocating to Columbus, Ohio where she worked at WBNS Radio as the Creative Services Director. Marcia later started the position of Sr. Creative Services Coordinator at WBZX, 99.7 The Blitz in 1998. In 2000, she took her talent down the road to WWHO 53 TV and worked her magic with their sales team. Marcia was always up for a challenge, so in 2005, she became a successful and lucrative co-owner of a Subway sandwich shop. Courageously and with a strong work ethic, she continued to work from home in 2008, as a Service Leader for VIP Desk Connect leading and mentoring a team of Brand Ambassadors for the Home Advisor Program until 2019.
To her close friends, Marcia Rose was known for her love of dogs, dancing, her laughter, wit and wisdom. She had an uncanny ability to see life clearly and was a source of inspiration to those she loved. She is loved and will be missed as a friend upon earth.
Marcia Rose is survived by her life partner, Suzy Waud of Columbus; mother, Laura J. Miano; brother, Timothy L. Miano; sister, Paula L. (Miano) Boyd and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by beloved father, Paul Louis Miano Sr. and brother, Paul Louis Miano Jr.
A celebration of the life of Marcia Rose will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 12 noon - 3pm at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 West Broad St. Columbus, OH 43204. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Dog Connection, Hospets or Grateful Hearts Senior Dog Rescue.
