Lawrence Williams Obituary

Lawrence E (Ed) Williams went to be with his loving wife, Anne on 16 October 2021.  Ed and Anne were soulmates for 67 years, parted only by Anne's passing.  Ed was born on June 12, 1929 and experienced a long life of more than 92 years. In his younger years he was an excellent athlete at Central High School, playing baseball.  He was also an avid bowler, accomplishing a perfect game at the young age of thirteen.  In addition, he was a crack shot at billiards.  Ed married Anne right out of high school, and then went to work at Ranco as a tool and dye maker.  He retired after 30 plus years.  He and Anne became "snow birds" in the 1990's and enjoyed spending their winters in Florida.  Being a devoted Buckeye fan, Ed's only regret may be that he won't be able to share the remainder of the football season with Norm.  But now he has the best seat in the "Shoe".  After Anne's passing, Ed went to live with his daughter in Virginia Beach, Va.  Ed is survived by his two sisters, Lila Mastrianni, and Betty Smith (Tom), his two loving daughters, Susan Phelps (Norm) and Patty Hinson (Gary) (Tom Passero) while no longer related, Tom continued to be a valued member of Ed's extended family; four grandchildren, Michael, Lora, Heather, and Tony, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, Maddox. Service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday 27 Oct at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 West Broad St.
