Kathy Castelvetere

Kathy Castelvetere, age 58,of Hilliard, OH., passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at University Hospital. Preceded in death by, parents, Bill and Brenda Surgener. Survived by, daughter, Maddisen (John) Bentley, loving partner of 7 years, Rich Simpson, grandchildren, Carrissa Bentley, Levi Bentley, Cambrie (Thomas) Gilchrist and Shaylin Bentley, great granddaughter, Adalynn Gilchrist, beloved pets, Rennie, Buddha, Buddy, Loki, Nikki, Crazy Bird Paco and Petey, numerous other family and many many close friends. The family would also like to thank both the James Cancer Center and Hospice of Central Ohio for the loving and kind care they provided for her. Kathy was a provider for individuals with developmental disabilities, a profession she took great pride in. She was a master gardener, had an incredible knowledge of animals, loved to go fishing and was an enormous fan of Queen and Freddie Mercury. Anyone that knew her knew she was so much fun and regardless of the situation, she knew how to make you laugh and enjoy life. Kathy was kind, loving, compassionate and deeply cared about others. Her smile was infectious. Kathy and Rich had a fairytale relationship. They were soulmates who were meant for each other. Kathy and Maddie had an incredible bond together. They were like sisters as well as best friends. The two of them lived for their mother daughter trips, where they would just drop everything and just disappear as only a mother and daughter can do. One thing that was very clear, she touched people's lives and made this world better. We will love you forever.
