Janie Jo (Lewis) McIntyre, passed away peacefully on September 7. Janie was born in October 1945 to Clarence H. and Ethel Lewis. She grew up in Columbus Ohio and attended South High School. She attended The Ohio State University earning a BSc in Education and later a BSc in Agriculture. She taught a Siebert Elementary School, worked at Plantland, and then became a librarian working for Madison Co. AL library and retiring from OSU Engineering Library.
She was always cheerful. She valued kindness to all and having a “Kind Word” for everyone. Her motto was “Be Kind”. She loved lost pets and had 8 adopted dogs over the years. Her favorite times were playing games with family and friends. Her hobby was reading “Cozy Mysteries”.
She is survived by her husband Bob. nieces, Kelsey (and Jim) Magnuson and Jamie (and Chris) Martin. great niece, Cecelia Magnuson and great nephews Conner and Aiden Martin, Craig McIntyre, and John and Sara McIntyre. The family would like to thank Ohio Health Hospice Kobacker House for all their care and support and loving care of Janie. No services will be held.
