James Brush

James Steven Brush, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at his residence. 1971 Graduate of West Jefferson High School. He was employed for many years with Federal Express. Veteran United States Air Force. James always wanted to make sure that everyone had a good time! The joy of his life were the years coaching 3rd base for Roundtown/Toms BP stations softball team, waving the runners home with a beer in his hand. Preceded in death by, parents, Ernest and Mary Brush, aunt, Thelma Ball, grandparents, Ralph and Ida Morrison and Forrest and Ina Brush. Survived by, children, Mary Ellen (Chris Huber) Brush and Bobby Brush, longtime girlfriend of 23 years, Brenda Williams, grandchildren, Kyla, Kora and Clayton, brother, Tom (Patricia) Brush, nephew, Steven Roof, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Sunday, September 29,  2024 from 2-3:30 PM where service will follow at 3:30 PM. Graveside service and interment, 11:30 AM Monday, September 30, 2024 at Sunset Cemetery.
