Gerry L. Southerland Jr, age 53, passed away October 3, 2021 from a long history of unknown illness at Arbors of Springfield where he resided for 8 years. he was a loving and caring person. Graduate of West High School. Gerry was a hard worker and artist. He was a skilled stone masonry and welder. Preceded in death by mother, Carolyn Sue Southerland; niece, Angel Barbee; nephew, Reb Damon Lee Barbee; half brothers: Packy Southerland and Matt Southerland; roommate/brother, Milton Howes. Survived by sister, Juanita "Sissy" Southerland (Matt Karshner); father, Gerry Southerland Sr.; niece, Savannah (Christian) Overfield; daughter, Chayna Leighann (Joe) Rowland; uncle, Bob (Brenda) Carpenter; numerous other family and friends. Friends may call Sunday, October 17 from 2-5pm at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 West Broad St. Columbus. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 Monday, October 18 at Alton Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
