Georgianna Rymer

Dr. Georgianna Hanshaw Rymer of Columbus, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday September 16, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with Hodgkins lymphoma. Georgianna was born January 26, 1931 to the late Henry and Vira Hanshaw. She was an ordained United Methodist Minister with a Doctorate of Ministry and Master's degree in Theology from the Methodist Theological College in Delaware, and a BS in Education from The Ohio State University. She was happily married for 48 years to her best friend and sweetheart Louis, who preceded Georgianna in death. She had a passion for learning, music, reading, coffee and people.  Her bright blue eyes and warm conversations will long be remembered by all who knew her.  She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her daughters Jennifer and Janna, son Jeffrey, in-laws, grand and great-grandchildren, countless friends and her church family. A memorial service will be held at Riverside United Methodist Church, 2701 Zollinger Road on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 3:00 PM. A celebration of life will follow the service at 6017 Kenzie Lane, Dublin. Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice 788 Morrison Road, Gahanna, OH 43230.
