Obituary
Elizabeth R. Quaintance, age 86, went home to with the LORD on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Doctor's Hospital West. Former member of Woodlawn Methodist Church. She loved doing arts and crafts, gardening and was famous for her fruit cakes, especially at the holidays. Elizabeth (Betty) was born February 15, 1937 in Hartford, Wisconsin to the late Marth Zabrish and Fritz Luthy. Fritz and Marth came to America from Switzerland to start their family. Also preceded in death by, husband, Gilbert LeRoy Quaintance, who was of Bucyrus, OH., children, Lilly Pulley and Yolanda (Phil) Crabtree, sisters, Rose Flexman, Dorothy Ebert and Annie, brothers, David and Ernie Luthy, foster parents, Paul and Dorathia Kleeburg. Survived by, children, Tina (Mark) Braden, June (Randy) Burling, Jamey Quaintance and Gary(Jean) Nayes. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren as well as numerous other family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held 10am, Saturday, September 16 at Bucyrus United Methodist Church, 216 Hopley Ave, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. Inurnment will follow at Crawford Co. Memory Gardens, Route 30, Crestline, Ohio.
