Carroll Little Obituary

Carroll E. Little passed away on October 22, 2024. He was born on June 15, 1943, to James Berlin Little and Eva Leona Price in Cheshire, Ohio. He grew up in southern Ohio playing outside and swimming in the Ohio River with his siblings. He moved to Columbus, where he met Louise Goulet. They settled in Grandview Heights, where they raised their son Donnie and daughter Carolyn. Carroll worked as a landscaper, where he found a passion in gardening he would carry throughout his life. He also worked at Smiling Scot as a warehouse supervisor until becoming disabled after major brain surgery in 1976. Louise was his first priority, as he fiercely and lovingly cared for her after a massive stroke in 1982 until she passed away in 1993. He later found companionship in Donna Magill, and they married in 1995. They were cat lovers and adopted many over the years. He also enjoyed bird watching and puttering in his garden. The effects of his brain surgery left him with mobility issues, but he never let that stop him. You could often find him rolling around town on his electric scooter doing errands and causing mischief. Carroll never forgot anything and would be the first to point out if someone missed a detail whether it was decades ago or present day. Carroll is preceded in death by his beloved wife Louise; his parents James and Eva; sister Ilene; brothers Gerald, Paul, Jim, Harley, Wade and Kenny. He is survived by his wife Donna; son Donnie (Michelle) Coleman, daughter Carolyn Smith; grandchildren Jeremy (Julia), Chelsea (Anna), Andrew, Samantha, bonus grandson Bentley and great-grandson Norman; nephew Kenny Jr., great-nephew Dwayne (Judy) Caldwell, and numerous family and friends. The family would like to thank dear friend Debbie Black for her kindness and the care she showed. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home 2693 W. Broad St Monday October 28, 2024 11:30am-1:00 pm followed by a private interment at Northlawn Memory Park in Westerville, Ohio
