Brenda Bias

Brenda M. Bias, age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born and grew up in Charleston, WV, then relocated to Columbus, Ohio where she raised her family. Brenda was a 50 plus year and dedicated member of St Cecilia Catholic Church. After graduating from Wheeling Jesuit College and receiving her Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, she began a long and fulfilling career in social work, working well into her 70's. She was an avid sports enthusiast, known to be very well versed in all sports, especially her Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. Brenda lived a humble and modest life, but she always made sure to enjoy a yearly visit to the beach with her family, a place she loved, making sure that they always had a wonderful family trip. Preceded in death by parents, Roland and Alma McDougall, brother, Peter McDougall. Survived by, children, Sean (Jaime) Bias, Heather Bias and Shannon (Matt) Robins, grandchildren, Babs Rae, Alex, Kaleb, Gabe, Natalie and Isla Rose, sister, Katie (Al) Kreitzer, brother, Jim McDougall, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Thursday, 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM Friday at St Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Father Leo Connolly, Celebrant. Interment St Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd., Columbus, OH, 43228.
