William "Bill" George Sheats

William (Bill) George Sheats, Sr. age 74, died January 18, 2019.  Bill was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. Born on March 2, 1944, he was the only son of George William Sheats and Antonetta Zingo Sheats DelCongliano, both of Delaware. After the death of his mother, he was raised by his uncle and aunt, Joseph and Frances Barozzi. He was a graduate of Conrad High School and attended the University of Delaware. William was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  After three years in the army, he was honorably discharged. He had a long career as a plastics engineer working for various plastics companies across the United States.  Bill is preceded in death by his father, mother, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Shari; his two children William George Sheats, Jr., and Jennifer Purser (Bryn); his stepson Troy Sayre (Jennifer); five grandchildren; and his cousin, who was like his sister, Gloria Barozzi-Dickerson.  Friends and family may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home 2693 W. Broad St Friday January 25.2019 12:00-1:00 P.M where service will be held at 1:00 P.M Friday.  Pastor William Kirk officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester.
