William "Bill" Johnson

William Wade "Bill" Johnson, born September 25, 1948, passed away December 24, 2017 at Mt Carmel West. He was an amazing brother, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. He went to join his parents, Lewis "Bob"and Isabel Johnson; brother, Louie Johnson; brother in law, Michael "Mike" Shankle. Bill is survived by much loved daughters Kayla Riley and Brittany Johnson, who were by his side; grandsons, Joel and Carter Johnson; sisters; Nancy Wolfe, Betty Shankle; brother, Robert (Lynn) Johnson; niece; Diana (Bob) Voigt; nephews, Steve (Vickie) Edmister and Jeff (Pam) Shankle; many great nieces and nephews, cousins and longtime friends as well as pet pals, Bruiser and Dre. For 40 years, Bill was the owner of Basement Repair Specialist, Inc, and was the "go-to handyman guy" for family and friends. He was a Veteran of the US Army.  An avid and excellent bowler and a pretty good recreational golfer, he developed many strong friendships over the years through leagues, tournaments and the "19th hole". Over time, Bill enjoyed memberships with the Agonis Club, Elks, Moose, NAUS and Oakhurst Country Club. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Thursday, 5-8 PM where service will be held 10:00 AM Friday. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
