Preceded in death by wife Jo Ann (Twigg) Nixon who died in 1993. father James P. Nixon and mother Geneva E. Swank; two brothers, James R. Nixon and Robert Lee Nixon and sister Carol Ann Vaughn; Survived by three sons, Timothy M. (Jackie) Nixon; William Steven (Pamela) Nixon; Gregory S. Nixon; three granddaughters, Angela Nixon (Dennis); Jerrica Nixon (Ridge); Jennifer Nixon (Coty); two grandsons, Timothy Michael Nixon II and Nathan Nixon ; two great grandsons Ryland Cole McGrath, Brixton River McGrath and great granddaughter Ella Marie Pernell which he shares a birthday with; two sisters, Susan Gardner; Gloria Walker; one brother Harry (Rose) Sebring; Numerous nieces and nephews; Special long time loving and caring companion of 24 years Virginia K.
