Lillian Lyle, known by most as Nanny passed in the early hours of September 2, 2019. The love so many had for her was no comparison to the love and commitment she showed for others. She was quick-witted with a great sense of humor and you never had to wonder what she was thinking. She always greeted everyone with a smile and made sure she left them with a hug. If she found them to be an attractive male, sometimes the hugs were doubled. She savored the flavor of Amaretto and Virginia Slims; she said at 90 years old, you enjoy what you can! An amazing cook, we all loved her banana cookies, mush, cranberry salad and harvest potatoes. She was stubborn and everyone knew not to make nanny mad! She was a great teacher, which came with the territory as she helped to raise her three granddaughters and some of her great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Russell and Lavinia Reber; first husband, Robert W. Mossburg; second husband, Ralph Lyle. Survived by daughter, Dale (Ronald) Summers; grandchildren: Howie (Lisa) Eggleston, Cricket Miller, Mandy (Elliott) Canterbury, Shawna (Damian) Reeves; great grandchildren: Brooke Eggleston, Jacob Eggleston, Leanna Miller, Alex Miller, Brandon Miller, Hannah Canterbury, Jude Canterbury, Tori Reeves, Dracen Reeves, Dominic Reeves "Nanny's Little Pudnic", Jonathan Yeh; special friends: Jean Clark, Candy Cook & Betty (Tom) Canterbury. Arrangements completed at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory, 2693 West Broad St.
