James "Jimmy" Russell Wharton, age 62, passed away on February 27, 2018 at Doctor's West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. James was born February 6, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Gene and Betty Wharton. He's joining his parents along with two brothers: William (Bill) Wharton and Donald Wharton. Before retiring in 2013 due to illnesses, he worked for Aurora Caskets. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Kathy (Dehl) Wharton and three children; daughters Tina Wharton and Jamie Wharton; son, James (Tavia) Wharton Jr.; along with sisters: Peggy (Larry) Perkinson and Linda (Ralph) Dillon; brothers, Tommy (Dominica) Wharton and Michael (Ann) Wharton. His 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews meant the world to him. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory, 2693 West Broad St. Saturday 1-4pm, service will be held 4pm.
