James Howbert Sr., age 69, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at Astoria Place. Veteran U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam; retired from Big Lots Corporation with over 15 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Irving and Elizabeth Howbert; sister, Shirley Ann Utter; brothers in law, Bruce Mulkey and Jeff Egnew. Survived by wife of 45 years, Georgia Howbert; children: James (Lee Ann) Howbert, Richard (Kristin) Howbert Sr, Stacie (Heather) Neal, Toni (Michael) Lones; grandchildren: Brianna (Matt), Richard Jr. (Briana), Mackenzie (Mitchell), Makayla, Donna, Morgan , Alissa, James III, and Burgandie; great grandchild, Mason; sister, Irvina Egnew; numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St. Sunday 2-5 p.m. where service will be held 10:00 am Monday. Chaplain Mark Hensley officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
