Irene C Chapman

It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Chapman (Wittkamp), announces her passing on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Eugene Chapman, their son, Jim as well as her parents and siblings, Red, Bob, Johnny, MaryEllen and Dorothy.

Her family was the focus of her life and she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Debbie, Alan (Kathy), Jack (Andria), Janice (Albert) and Mike (Donna). She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Marcus (Jess), Rachel (Zach), Melissa (Greg), Nick (Trisha), Justin (Klaudia), David (Hillary), Tonya, Melody, Ann and great grandchildren, Jonathan, josh, Harlie, Bailey, Jordan, Scarlett and Jackson. Irene will also be fondly remembered by her surviving siblings, Frank, Joe, Teresa, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

She loved attending family gatherings, had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing Euchre, doing cross-stitch and baking/cooking everyone's favorite items for them to enjoy. She always had a smile, never complained and sacrificed her needs for the good of the family. Her family will miss her wit, humor and losing to her in Euchre! She leaves a legacy of memories for all her knew her and would encourage everyone to focus on the happy times we shared. We are confident she was greeted by Dad with a big hug, kiss and shout out "Welcome Home Hot Lips!" while Jim smiled nearby.

The visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 12-2pm at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory, 2693 West Broad St. All are invited to join the family at Alan's house following the conclusion of the funeral home visitation.
