Howard Stanton Obituary

Howard A Stanton, 91, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, June 6th at Sharonbrooke Assisted Living. He was born June 23rd, 1926 in Barnesville, OH. Longtime Member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran and served on the USS Firedrake, Retired from Ohio Bell after 36 years of service. He loved to travel, camp, and visited all 50 states. Preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Stanton (2012). Survived by sons: Dave (Theresa) Stanton, Phil (Joni) Stanton and Tim (Kathryn) Stanton; grandchildren: Olivia, Megan, Andrew (Sarah), Allison, and Anna; other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Howard's honor may be made to The Parkenson's Foundation or The American Diabetes Association. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St Tuesday 6-8 p.m., where service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
