George Jones Sr., a very generous and loving man, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Manor of Whitehall. A well known, well liked and well loved man who everyone knew as "Red". Preceded in death by: Parents: Robert and Minerva Jones. Sisters: Lula, Cynthia and Mattie. Brothers: Robert, Paul-Timothy, Carl and Matthew. Daughters: Karen Jones and Tamara Jones. Daughter in law: Jeanie Jones. Survived by: Children: George Jones Jr., Carolyn Jones, Loretta Scott, Vanessa (McQuiller) - Jones, Alan Jones, Mary Ann Madison, Christopher Jones and Phillip "Elias" Jones. Brothers: Isaiah, Jimmy (Joan) and Suffragan Bishop Thomas (Hazel). A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Thursday, 5-8 PM where service will be held 10:00 AM Friday. Evangelist Vanessa Jones officiating. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
