Donald Wayne Porter, age 74, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home in Iola, Kansas. Veteran US Navy where he served in Vietnam, Ohio Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserves. Lifetime member VFW Post # 2505. Preceded in death by: wife, Betty Porter; mother, Bessie Porter; Father, Clyde Porter; Special Friend, Barbara Wood. Survived by sons: Don Ritenour and Ken (Kate) Porter; daughters: Debbie Shaw, Michele (Barry) Pickett, Marla (Braddley) Addams, Amanda (Eric) Winkle; grandchildren: Corey Ritenour, Braddley Addams, Emily Addams, Brandon Winkle, Hannah Shaw, Jeshua Ferkins, Kyle Winkle, Ethan Ferkins, Lauren Winkle, Abigail Pickett, Aiden Pickett, Braydan Pickett, Angelina Porter and Ariana Porter. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home 2693 W. Broad St. Monday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. where service will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday. Pastor Dale George officiating. Interment Alton Cemetery.
