Loren Jester

Loren G. Jester, 73, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 after an 18 month long, brave and courageous fight. He never lost hope or his faith. He was born at home, December 31, 1943 in West Jefferson. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired from STAR Leasing. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, NASCAR and his precious kitty, Freckles. Preceded in death by parents: James Willard and Lora E. (Sollars) Jester; infant brother, James Willard; sister, Loretta Walker, ex-wife, Kathleen (Holcomb) Jester; nephew, David Walker and partner of many years, Martha Kimbler. Survived by his daughters: Kimberly Jester (Jason Happ), Lori Hicks; brothers: James Patrick Jester and Kevin Ray Jester; stepchildren: Don Kimbler, Ellen Williams, Jana Carder and Phillip Kimbler; grandchildren: Ciara Dillon, Tiara (Jon) Lyons, Tyler Hicks; adopted grandchildren: Christopher Jester and Meg Happ; 8 step grandchildren, and several nieces. Special thanks to Don Kimbler for his readings of scripture, to his favorite home health care nurses Kim and Dee, and aide Princess. There will be a celebration of his life held on Saturday, August 26th, 2pm to 6pm, at the Columbus Dispatch party house, 5300 Crosswind Dr., Columbus, Oh 43228.
