Larry Lee Dickmeyer

Larry Lee Dickmeyer, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 1, 2017 in London, OH. Larry was born August 1st, 1956 in Knightstown, Indiana. He was known by many as “Lorenzo” or “Zo”. Larry was a graduate of Purdue University and spent some time overseas doing contract work with the Navy. He was an excellent craftsman and spent countless hours working in his garden. His nickname was “Gabby” and he didn’t know a stranger. Larry was very generous and would help others in any way he could. Towards the end of his life, Larry had a decline in health and battled several chronic illnesses, but remained a fighter. He is survived by his fiancé, Kimberly Napier of London; stepdaughter, Brandi (John) Curfman of Columbus; sister, Pam (Jeff) Hayes of Indiana, beloved dog Lucy; brother-in-law Wayne (Janice) Courts of Galloway; mother-in-law, Mary Courts, and various other family and friends.  Friends may come out to honor Larry on Wednesday, July 5th from 5pm-6pm at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204. A memorial service will be held at 6pm with Chaplain Jeff Slider officiating. “The most tormented souls carry the kindest hearts and no beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart” Unknown.
